  As an example, My VPN (NordVPN) auto-renewed at 3x the original price, without warning. Thankfully I catched it and was able to cancel the subscription.

  Companies should not be allowed to do this... But they do.

  They're so easy to miss, but usually if you catch them immediately they issue the refund
