Medical billing in America is a black box of fragmented data and inefficiency. At CareIgnition, we are building the transparency layer for healthcare. We transform massive, messy datasets into financial clarity for employers and providers.
We are looking for a pragmatic generalist. You’ll be working across the entire stack: from building customer-facing features in React and Django to architecting data pipelines that process petabytes of medical claims and rates. Crucially, this role involves deep algorithmic and analytical work. You won't just move data; you will implement the logic that makes sense of it.
We value "generalist" DNA—engineers who are as comfortable optimizing a SQL query as they are building a clean UI component. If you enjoy solving high-scale data problems that have a direct impact on healthcare affordability, we’d love to talk.
Tech: Python, Django, React, AWS (ECS, Step Functions, Athena), SQL (DuckDB/Polars), Iceberg/Redshift.
If interested, reach to me at vikram.chauhan [at] careignition.com
Blackbird builds web + mobile apps for startups and innovative companies. We work on interesting, greenfield projects, and rely on small, veteran teams who have lots of autonomy. Everyone is a remote contractor, and our work culture is low-drama and highly collaborative. No pointless meetings, no bureaucracy, no egos and lots of time spent building things.
We’re looking for senior full stack engineers / CTO consultants / data scientists. We value engineers who are strong technically as well as great communicators. We work with lots of freelancers who appreciate the steady, interesting work.
Our typical stack is TypeScript, React, Postgres, and AWS although it will vary project to project.
If you enjoy moving fast, working with great engineers, and building something from the ground up, you’ll fit right in.
If interested, reach out directly to me at vance [at] blackbird.us
American healthcare is seldom affordable, accessible, or high-quality. We are fixing this for pediatrics. Blueberry is the most affordable option amongst our competitors. We practice the highest quality pediatric telemedicine, as evidenced by our exclusive hiring of board-certified pediatricians and the usage of at-home medical kits. And, we’re accessible 24 hours a day.
Our success is shown in the lives we save, the costs we save our insurers, and our exploding B2B and D2C business.
As you can imagine, pulling off affordable high-quality healthcare is a challenge. It requires a lot of engineering ingenuity, a C-suite aligned with positive patient outcomes above short-term profits, and a great product team.
We use Django, Hotwire Turbo (an HTMX-like framework), Pytorch, Sklearn, and Flutter. Experience in these technologies helps, but what’s more important is general full-stack knowledge, curiosity, and a strong work ethic.

We are MiLaboratories, the team behind Platforma.bio & MiXCR. We are building the "OS for Biology"—a platform that processes terabytes of genomic data to accelerate antibody discovery and drug development.
We are a deep-tech research lab, not a typical SaaS. We work fully on-site in Bilbao because the complexity of our problems (high-performance computing + biological nuances) requires high-bandwidth, in-person collaboration.
We are hiring for two core roles:
1. Senior Go Engineer: You will build distributed systems for high-load genomic data processing. This is not CRUD. We need someone who understands memory management, concurrency, and algorithmic efficiency at scale.
2. Bioinformatics Developer (Antibody Discovery): You will work on the scientific core, developing blocks for NGS data analysis and antibody structure prediction. You should be fluent in both code and biology.
The Offer:
Comp: Top-tier EU salaries (~€90k - €120k).
Tax Advantage: Bizkaia has independent tax autonomy. You qualify for the "Special Impatriate Regime" (30% salary tax exemption + expense deductions).
The Reality: Your effective tax rate drops to ~15-20%, yielding a significantly higher net income than London or Berlin.
Stock: We grant ESOP and treat equity as a life-changing wealth vehicle, not a "nice to have."
Relocation: Comprehensive "Soft Landing" package (Visa, temporary housing, school search).
Location: Bilbao is a hidden gem—ocean, mountains, and high quality of life with a low cost of living.
Process: No HR screening. You will talk directly to the engineering team.
Email me (I am the CEO): stanp@milaboratories.com. Please mention "HN" in the subject and include your GitHub.

Gobii is the easiest way to deploy browser-use agents in the cloud or on-premises. We're building an open-core AI workforce platform—browser-native agents and automation tools. We have paying customers.
The entire team contributes to browser-use. We also have contributors to Apache NiFi, LiteLLM, and RA.Aid (open-source coding agent I created). Open source is core to how we build and how we think. We're backed by Open Core Ventures.
HQ is San Francisco, but much of the team is in the DC area. East Coast timezone preferred, DC area even better—but we're fully remote.
What we're building: The orchestration layer for browser-use and AI agents. Systems that navigate, reason, and execute on the real web.
Who we're looking for: You've built agentic systems that shipped to production. You have opinions about tool use, context management, and why most "agents" are just glorified prompt chains. You strongly prefer working in the open—a significant part of this role is contributing to OSS repos. We strongly prefer candidates with existing open source contributions.
Why now: We have strong traction and are expanding the team. You'd be early—with real influence over product, architecture, and how we work. High autonomy, high trust, small team of people who know what they're doing.
Comp: Cash + healthcare + modest 401k match + options. In line with SF-based VC-backed startups at pre-seed stage.
Stack: TypeScript, Python, browser automation, LLM orchestration.

Trunk is an a16z funded (25M) Series A dev tools startup, redefining software development at scale. At Trunk, our mission is to help teams create high-quality software quickly. We've helped engineerings teams at: Google X, Zillow, and Brex to understand why their builds fail, which tests are flaky, and how to ship code faster without sacrificing reliability. AI has made writing code 10x faster, but shipping is still painfully slow. The bottleneck has shifted downstream - to merge conflicts, flaky tests, inconsistent code quality, and dozens of other frictions that drain productivity and morale. Engineering teams that can stay focused on designing, implementing, and delivering software will build magical, high-quality projects - and they'll be happier doing it. We're building a CI Reliability Platform that empowers teams to land code faster and develop happier!

We’re expanding our Stockholm team with exceptional engineers in a wide range of roles, from security to product.

We're a VC-funded startup (recently raised $51M Series C) building an infrastructure orchestrator and collaborative management platform for Infrastructure-as-Code – from OpenTofu, Terraform, Terragrunt, CloudFormation, Pulumi, Kubernetes, to Ansible.
On the backend we're using 100% Go with AWS primitives. We're looking for backend developers who like doing DevOps'y stuff sometimes (because in a way it's the spirit of our company), or have experience with the cloud native ecosystem. Ideally you'd have experience working with an IaC tool, i.e. Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, CloudFormation, Kubernetes, or SaltStack.
Overall we have a deeply technical product, trying to build something customers love to use, and have a lot of happy and satisfied customers. We promise interesting work, the ability to open source parts of the project which don't give us a business advantage, as well as healthy working hours.
If that sounds like fun to you, please apply at https://careers.spacelift.io/jobs/3006934-software-engineer-...
You can find out more about the product we're building at https://spacelift.io and also see our engineering blog for a few technical blog posts of ours: https://spacelift.io/blog/engineering
Additionally, we're hiring for a new product we're building, Flows. Mostly the same requirements and tech stack, without the devops bits. You can see a demo of Flows and apply for it here: https://careers.spacelift.io/jobs/6438380-product-software-e...

Spruce lets users control their data across the web. Instead of users logging into platforms, we believe platforms should request to access data vaults controlled by users.
The demand for trusted digital ID is accelerating as AI deepfakes begin to destroy most of the ways we use to verify identity today. How private or secure is it to hold your driver's license or passport up to a webcam to get a bank account? Was it ever private or secure? Stable diffusion can break so much of this already. Society will need trusted digital IDs and credentials. Our mission is to allow them to be controlled by individuals, with safeguards to prevent descents into surveillance states and checkpoint societies.
We are the main implementers of category-defining initiatives such as the digital ID program for the California DMV, and the verifiable digital credentials program in Utah. We are private sector participants in NIST's National Cyber Security of Excellence initiative for privacy-preserving digital ID.
We are hiring skilled engineers who care about making a real impact in improving public services, digital autonomy, and user privacy for the world. We work closely with public sector agencies, and have high regard for public servants. We have a strong engineering and customer-oriented culture, and are not simply a SaaS product or AI wrapper. Our roles are not for the faint of heart: you will be expected to work hard and learn a lot in this role.
Our engineers are ambitious to get outcomes for our customers and their constituents. On any given day, they may write great Rust/C#/TypeScript, deal with mainframe dumps, read policy documents, respond to technical RFIs/RFPs, manage on-prem environments, implement new NFC + Bluetooth protocols in Swift/Kotlin, create CI/CD processes that enforce W3C accessibility guidelines and i18n requirements, rewrite lost specs from disassembled binaries, figure out stablecoin payments, and design new protections for public key infrastructure. It is a team effort, and people with T-shirt shaped skills are able to collaborate and learn a ton from each other every day.
We are interested in candidates who want to be proud of the meaningful impact they make for society, even if it takes time to get right. This is not the right job for someone who wants to "join a cool new AI startup" that implodes or exits in under a year.

I'm a software engineer but (thanks to my elderly father) I know the super fine details of rental property management.
For what it's worth, when I started out in 2023, the business was -1.3 million USD in construction debt. In 2025, 2 years into my role and we're at no debt, 34 fully occupied homes and 3 luxury villa sales. I can 100% provide documentation to prove this.

Healthcare in the U.S. is a mess. Komodo Health is fixing that—with data. We’ve mapped the patient journey across the country to build the most complete picture of disease burden and treatment gaps. Our customers are pharma, payers, and health systems who actually want to do something meaningful with that information.
We have an exciting product, marmot, that is AI-native, both in the interface as well as in development, and want to carefully grow high productivity teams around this offering. AI integrated with Komodo's data is giving some of the most unique, real world insights any of us has seen come out of the new LLM era. Our product was just featured on Times Sqaure too! https://www.linkedin.com/posts/komodo-health_marmot-sighting...
As part of marmot, we are building an enterprise-grade AI platform, and this build out needs smart individuals who will sit at the nexus of AI Agent architectures, complex data engineering, advanced data science and messy healthcare data.
You will be an ideal candidate if you have data engineering experience as well as some experience in platform engineering, in a startup environment. We don't just want to build pipelines, we want to build AI-assisted systems that can build customized pipelines for our deployments.
This will be a small, nimble team, and we are also experimenting with our work culture as AI disrupts every aspect of it. A hunger for trying out new ideas in every aspect of work would be appreciated!
Perks will include periodic travel to SF/NY for on-site, executive coaching, etc. For the right candidate, we can also consider other perks like a 4 day work-week.
If this post sounds exciting, please email me at ramraj.velmurugan@komodohealth.com.
Important notes before you email:
1. You need to already be in the US.
2. You really need to have experience with advanced data engineering. AI experience is optional, though we will likely have to test you for your aptitude in it.
3. I have mentioned a keyword in my HN profile, include the keyword in the email (there's a bunch of people who just send emails to every address in such hiring posts). I will read every email mentioning that keyword thats sent in the next two days!
Hey! I’m Maxim, cofounder/CEO of Immunera.
We're building blood tests that use gene sequencing and machine learning to help patients with autoimmune disease. Immunera spun out of years of research at Stanford, and our technology has been published in Science and covered by The New York Times.
We're hiring a Principal Machine Learning Engineer to shape the core models and infrastructure that power our blood tests. We are partnering with hospitals to generate training data from real patients for our language models and other biological sequence models.
This is a senior engineering role with significant autonomy at an early-stage, venture-backed startup. We're looking for strong experience building and operating ML systems in production (Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow, cloud platforms). Prior biology or healthcare experience is NOT required; we care much more about your ability to reason about data, models, and systems.

RunReveal is the Security Data Platform that's building tools to help companies detect and respond to threats in their network. We're a team that values speed, quality and curiosity. Our stack is Go, NextJS (TS), Postgres and ClickHouse. We believe that companies should be able to own their security data and get value out of it too and so we've built a platform that can be deployed anywhere. SIEM sucks, so we're here to fix it.
If you're into self hosting or running a homelab, or you're using LLMs to enhance your development workflow and extend your knowledge and not just regurgitate slop, or you're always looking for opportunities for self improvement, you're in good company at RunReveal.
We've got phenomenal customers like Cursor, Harvey, Temporal, Linear, DigitalOcean, ClickHouse and AngelList among many others that we work with on a daily basis to improve the product.
We're especially interested in folks that have experience working with petabyte scale databases. We use ClickHouse, but experience with other similar large scale data technologies like Iceberg, Flink, Spark, ScyllaDB, Cassandra, InfluxDB, TimescaleDB, BadgerDB etc would also be valuable.

Full consideration will be given to applications that are complete by January 12, 2026, although applications will be accepted until the position is filled. The anticipated hire start date is August 2026.
In addition to teaching a variety of undergraduate courses, the successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in the development and growth of our Data Science and Analytics curriculum and student outcomes. They will also collaborate with the Career Center to help establish industry partnerships and serve as a mentor to students pursuing careers in data science and analytics. Service to the department and university is also a key component of this position.
Duties and Responsibilities The successful candidate will play a critical leadership role in the development and growth of our Data Science and Analytics curriculum and student outcomes, including: - Teach a variety of undergraduate courses. Potential courses include data mining, big data and cloud computing, or agentic development. - Assist with crafting and implementing a vision for the Data Science and Analytics program, guiding its strategic direction and evolution. - Keep up to date on trends in Data Science & Machine Learning, given traditional DS techniques are being handled by AI (e.g. exploratory data analysis, outlier detection, etc.). - Collaborate with the Career Center to help establish industry partnerships, serving as a key industry liaison to facilitate internships and career opportunities for students. - Mentor and advise students pursuing careers in data science and analytics. Contribute to departmental and university service, including participating in cross-university data initiatives.
Required Qualifications - A Master’s degree in a related field. - Experience communicating findings effectively in the professional world. - Interest and enthusiasm in working with undergraduate students in a liberal arts environment. - Familiarity with strong pedagogical practices, including active learning approaches.

We’re on a mission to give humans and LLMs reliable and fast access to web data.
Web scraping used to be the same for decades (brittle scripts that break constantly). We're automating that end-to-end with LLMs that build and maintain data pipelines. We're also heavily focused on making ethical scraping the default (robots.txt checks, rate limiting, etc.).
All 3 founders have spent years in the trenches writing web scraping and ETL software and still do it almost every single day. We’re making sure every team member can do the best work of their career at Kadoa.
We are looking for people who share our passion for software craftsmanship, data, and AI.
We are growing fast, have a no-bullshit culture, and try to minimize the distance between the code you write and the customers who use it.
We have openings for:
- Senior Frontend Engineer: https://www.kadoa.com/careers/frontend-engineer
- Senior Software Engineer: https://www.kadoa.com/careers/senior-software-engineer
If that sounds like you, please email me at (adrian at kadoa dot com) and mention HN in the subject line. AI slop applications will be filtered out immediately ;)
We are looking for passionate individuals for whom programming is not just a job but it’s something they love to do. We're obsessed with computers, programming, big data, databases, compilers, hardware, math, data science, and the internet. Does this sound like you? Please apply to join our team.
Our code base is very friendly to new contributors. You'll have a fully-functional development environment within hours (fully automated) and be pushing commits on your first day. Deployments to production happen multiple times per day and finish in less than 2 minutes. Effectively all of our codebase is written in Python, Rust, SQL, Javascript/TypeScript, and Nix. The core technologies you'll need familiarity with to be productive are Python, PostgreSQL, Linux, and Git.
We operate at a larger scale than typical startups. We operate two datacenters with high performance servers we've built that are capable of dealing with the volumes of data we process. We've implemented our own distributed file system. We do full-scale web crawls. We download and perform static analysis on the entire universe of Android APKs and iOS IPAs that are published. Unlike a typical startup where you'll spend half of your time in meetings, and the other half fixing bugs from Jira tickets— at MixRank you'll get to challenge yourself with difficult technical problems that will help you to grow as an individual.
We're hiring continuously for the positions below— they aren't singular positions that will close once filled. Our philosophy on hiring is that the candidate is more important than the position. For each new member of the team, we design a custom role and responsibilities that are specialized to their interests. Other companies will come up with a long list of specific requirements for a position with the expectation that you'll exactly replace someone from the team, or that you'll be the perfect tetris piece that satisfies the job requirements decided by a committee. MixRank is more pragmatic: we'll first get excited about having a unique individual on the team, then we'll figure out the best way to accommodate their specific talents.
-- Junior Software Engineer - Remote (Global), Full-Time
We're looking for remote junior engineers that have 0-3 years of professional experience in software, and 5+ years of curiosity exploring computers, programming, and technical hobby projects. This is an open-ended entry role with mentorship and diverse opportunities to work on all areas of our product: databases, distributed systems, infrastructure and tooling, data analysis, machine learning, frontend/backend web development, APIs, data mining, data modeling, and more. To stand out, please highlight what makes you unique: passion for computing, curiosity and side projects, work ethic, niche research, etc.
Ideally you've already graduated, but if you still have one or more years left of school, please feel free to apply anyway, and if you're the right fit for the team we'll figure out a way to accommodate your schedule. https://www.ycombinator.com/companies/mixrank/jobs/Fnwsojk-j... --
Software Engineer - Remote (Global), Full-Time
We're hiring generalist software engineers to work on web applications, data mining, machine learning/data science, data transformation/ETL, data modeling, database scaling, infrastructure, devops, and more. We'll cater the role to whatever subset of these areas match your interests.
Beneficial experience includes PostgreSQL, Python, Rust, Linux, TypeScript, Nix, frontend/backend web development, and data mining.

Hello, I am bootstrapping an AI companion startup. I believe that within 10 years, more people will date AI than humans. I think this is neither good nor bad, just interesting, and I want to build something in this space.
I am looking to hire someone with strong technical and problem solving skills. You will be seeing a lot of problems for the first time and need to just figure out how to hack a solution. Sometimes that involves writing code but not always. It is ok if you don't have prior AI experience.
Interesting problems we will work on:
- extreme latency issues while providing a fully multimodal experience (audio, video, text)
- building models that predict when to interrupt in a conversation
- building models and control systems for emotion
- generating avatar response in real time
- custom 3d models from input image
- real time or very fast video generation with custom characters
- llm memory
As I am bootstrapping this, I can only offer up to $4,000/mo ($50,000/yr) at the moment. If you are interested, please email James at gcyiuqy1 [at] gmail.com
There are so many ideas to explore and problems to solve. I would be happy to give you 5 for free, I have more problems in my business laboratory than I have time to build. I'll give you a few ideas to work on. Book office hours if youre interested: hourshttps://calendly.com/ryanwmartin/open-office-hours
