I figured that maybe I can introduce myself a little.
I’m a software developer who recently wrapped up a 3-year journey building a full-featured SaaS for academic conference management. I bootstrapped it while working full-time, eventually quit my 6-figure job to finish it, and launched it this past June.
The product worked, but the market didn’t respond. Rejections came fast: no certifications (SOC2, PCI), too many well-funded competitors, and no real differentiator. It was hard to take in after years of effort.
Now, I’ve pivoted to micro-SaaS: smaller, focused tools with faster feedback loops and lower risk. Elara is my first one.
